Our History

BIMRS is a group of highly trained BMW independent shop owners & their technicians. In 1993 a group of independent BMW service shops had the foresight to create a closed group of information sharing owing to the continually evolving complexity of the German marque. Not only was there an information exchange about complex repair problems, a way forward was sought to better serve the customer in order to complete repairs in an efficient manner. Furthermore BIMRS had the foresight to create annual meetings where member shops from all over the world convene once a year to receive four days of in depth training on a myriad of subjects to include diesel & gasoline engine diagnostics, car programing & updates, BUS systems and much more. Training is supported by some of the best trainers in the industry, most often using factory level training materials & diagnostic equipment.

BIMRS member shops also utilize BMW OSS™ diagnostic equipment as well as others to bring about factory level diagnostics, parts & service information bulletins and also latest updates to existing software updates to your car. Often fixing problem cars with a software update. The group continues to grow and sets the standard worldwide for the best training & support for its member shops. We continue to receive support from many of the O.E.M. manufacturers and their groups in the training & part update arenas. Many of our member shops are ASE certified and/or also have the prestigious Bosch Service Center recognitions.
